Summary: We only use necessary cookies for login and security. Analytics — first-party, anonymous visit statistics — require your consent and are disabled by default. There are no third-party advertising cookies on this site.

1. What are cookies and similar technologies?

Cookies are small text files stored in your browser. We also use localStorage and sessionStorage — browser-based storage that works similarly, but does not send data to the server on every request.

Under the EU ePrivacy rules, the same requirements that apply to cookies also apply to localStorage and sessionStorage, so this policy covers all of them.

2. Which technologies do we use?

The table below is a complete overview of the technologies used on trustctrl.com and the TrustCtrl application pages.

Name Type Purpose Lifetime Category
JSESSIONID HTTP cookie Login and session authentication on the application pages. Stores your logged-in state so you can navigate the platform. Deleted when the browser closes (session) Necessary
XSRF-TOKEN HTTP cookie CSRF protection. Prevents other websites from performing actions on your behalf while you are logged in. Deleted when the browser closes (session) Necessary
cwp-cookies localStorage Stores your consent choice (allow all / necessary only / decline all) so the banner is not shown again. No expiry (can be deleted manually) Necessary
tclang sessionStorage Remembers your language choice (English/Danish) for the current browser session. Deleted when the browser tab is closed Necessary
_cw_session localStorage Anonymous session ID for visit statistics. Used to understand which parts of the site are used, without identifying individual visitors. All data is processed exclusively by TrustCtrl on our own servers. Deleted after 30 minutes of inactivity Consent required
_cw_utm sessionStorage Stores campaign parameters (e.g. the source from email links) for one browser session to analyse where traffic comes from. Deleted when the browser tab is closed Consent required

No third-party advertising cookies. We do not use Google Analytics, Meta Pixel, LinkedIn Insight Tag or any similar third-party tracking scripts. All analytics are first-party and processed on our own EU-based servers.

3. Your choices

Analytics are disabled by default and only start after you choose "Allow all cookies" in the banner. You can change or withdraw your consent at any time — your choice is stored in your browser's localStorage under the key cwp-cookies.

Open cookie settings to review or change your current choice. The change takes effect immediately. The same link is available as "Cookie settings" in the footer of every page.

You can also delete cookies and site data directly in your browser:

  • Chrome: Settings → Privacy and security → Clear browsing data
  • Firefox: Settings → Privacy & Security → Cookies and Site Data → Clear Data
  • Safari: Preferences → Privacy → Manage Website Data
  • Edge: Settings → Privacy, search, and services → Clear browsing data

4. Legal basis

Necessary cookies and storage — login, security, your consent choice and your language preference — are used on the basis of contractual necessity and legitimate interest (GDPR Art. 6(1)(b) and (f)); they are required for the site and the platform to work. Analytics storage is used only on the basis of your explicit consent (GDPR Art. 6(1)(a)), which you can withdraw at any time.
